A Comanche scout was leading the US Army through the plains
The army unit was traveling through hostile territory and needed this Comanche scout that knew the land better than anyone in the area, had the reputation to track anything for miles, and could tell what was headed towards them just from the signs of nature. The scout raised his right hand and halted the expedition suddenly. All eyes were on him as he walked quietly up ahead of the group and went to his knees and slowly placed his ear directly on the ground. He jumped back and turned towards the commander.
"Buffalo come" said the Comanche scout in broken English.
"By Lincoln's ghost! How could you tell first there was something coming and second that it's Buffalo?!" Said the amazed Commander.
The Comanche scout raised his hand to his cheek and said "Face Sticky."
