The only catch was he created a mote filled with poisonous snakes, fish and alligators. He said, "whoever can swim across this is worthy of marrying my daughter and sharing my inheritance."
Dozens of men tried but they either had to be rescued or were killed. This went on for three days. On the morning of the fourth day a young farmer miraculously swam across swiftly and made it to the other side. The king was ecstatic and asked, "how did you do it?!"
