TIL Hitler made one of the first holocaust jokes
During a meeting about the "Russian question" and how to govern former Russian territory, it was predicted a terrible Jewish pogrom would take place. Hitler joked that maybe Europe would ask him to step in, and protect eastern Jews. "Perhaps," Hither said, he and "Rosenberg could organize a special congress to discuss the burning question of the times. The humane treatment of Jews."
